It was a cloudy day most of the day. In January. In Chicago. I mean it’s not like this is anything new, it’s frequently gray and cold here in the winter. And it’s ok because eventually spring summer comes, but it can get old.
The kids have been loving taking pictures with my old cameras, and so when we looked outside in the later afternoon and noticed the sun out we decided to chase the sunset and take our cameras down to the river to take some pictures.
I’m loving these short adventures with my kids. Lucy is using my Canon 40D and the lens that is on there has a hard time focusing. The other lenses that I have are heavy, but we are going to give one of my zoom lenses a try for our next outing.
A selection of the photos the three of us took are below. Enjoy!
Of course the ducks in the river were the biggest highlight of the walk.
How. Sweet. Is. This. Lucy took this picture of us walking back home and I didn’t even know she was doing it! Rocky usually prefers walking while holding my hand. I’m so thankful that she got this picture!
